There is a program on the Science channel that has some information about bio-fuels and alternative energy. Again diesel and all fuel prices are soaring above $3.00 and it will soon strangle our economy. I hate to say it but there ain't enough corn in this country to to save us.
We're going to need a different crop and that includes our government.
A short time ago when fuel prices took a jump Congress and the Senate were all over the oil companies and crying about their record profits from the astronomical prices. Now, you hear nothing. I think part of this is due to the fact that this is a boom to government coffers. So why complain?
Speculators are are the driving force behind these insane prices. They will soon be in serious trouble.
Yankee engineering and back yard inventors are resurrecting and improving ideas of the past and building new systems like the spinning compressor that produces hot water and make more energy than it consumes. How about a solid state generator? Now this isn't as crazy as it sounds. It used to be you needed a spinning gyro for flight navigation systems including the sophisticated and very expensive nav systems placed in military and commercial flight directors.
Now, thanks to the advent of solid state accelerometer's and GPS devices gyros will soon become relic of the past. These devices may soon replace air driven indicators and flight information.
Others are developing ideas and plans that are very exciting. There are rare earth magnet generators that are very powerful and require very little power to produce enough power to run your house. One experiment of note is a generator that spun itself to destruction as it's engineers couldn't stop it. Still others are building these generators to run cars. So, why are these not all over the news? Well, some are, but major corporations are reluctant to buy some of this new technology they think is perpetual motion and you cannot patent a perpetual motion machine. Not patent no investment. The new catch phrase is "over unity".
But, you can buy plans and build some of this stuff yourself. Some even have kits but these are not for the average homeowner. However, scientists seem to be reinvigorated to some extent.
There are some absolutely fascinating ideas, experiments, and testing going on right now.
