You cannot run straight vegetable oil in your diesel powered vehicle for many reasons. First, the EPA does not recognize vegetable oil as a "fuel grade" product. Second, the flash point is different, it can congeal in your fuel pump, injectors, and fuel lines. Third, it can eat up those fine little rubber seals that help hold all that fuel pressure together.
Vegetable oil must be "processed" into "Biodiesel" which does several things that improve the performance of pure vegetable oil. It also allows it to be blended with regular diesel. It needs to be washed, tested, and processed to become a practical Biosiesel fuel that is safe for your equipment. You can find "real" quality research about making, buying, or using Biodiesel by clicking here.
